Well well well, my first post for 2009.... kind of late lah.... but better den nothing rite???
hmmmm.... let me think hw shall i start posting..... think shld start frm where i last stop ba.....
== 24th December 2008, Wednesday ==
Half day at work today.... dun think half day work is appropriate cuz we are PARTY-ING!!!!!!
I'm preparing for a X'mas Party in the office which is say rather successful??? Most of us are in Blue - Our colour theme for X'mas last year (yah..... last yr... cuz it's nw 2009)
Cleared my work before going back so i can go on long hols without much worries..... left office at bout 1.30pm instead of 12noon...... haiz......
reached home, continue packing my luggage..... this is the first trip tat my luggage wasn't packed beforehand.......
Went back Grandpa's place for a X'mas Party before going to airport to meet Cheryl, YF and Jolyn aka Mdm Wong...... hahahahaha!!!!!!! ate super lots of fried food......
went airport to meet Cheryl, YF and Mdm Wong at 9+.... went to the Staff Travel counter and we were asked to go back the counter at 12.20am for our Boarding Pass as the flight is full.... *depressing*
while waiting, YF and me accompanied Cheryl and Mdm Wong to check-in (well, they bought tix, so they are confirmed)....
== 25th December 2008, Thursday ==
MERRY X'MAS!!!!!!!
had our x'mas countdwn at T3's arrival hall......
Finally, it's 12.20am, went back Staff Travel counter, we were asked to wait again.... go back at 12.45am...... we started to worry le...... cuz flight departing in 20mins time....... we really dun understand y cuz Yoke Leng n family are upgraded to Business Class...... there shld be 5 seats vacant...... we decided to hang around the Staff Travel Counter and finally the phone at the counter rang...... There's available seats for us cuz there are no show cust.... BUT!!!! we have to seat separately..... but it's ok lah.... can go can le..... Finally checked-in and got our Boarding Pass.... Chiong to the gate for boarding.....
After 4hrs+ flight, we touched dwn at Taoyuan Airport at bout 6+am..... Cleared immigation and waited for our luggages...... waitied super long cuz the cargo door is stucked..... haiz.....
after we got our luggages, helped Yoke Leng and family to get their bus tix to Sheraton Hotel followed by our bus tix to Taoyuan HSR Station. Finally our longwaited 11 Days Trip started.... =D
Took HSR to 台中。We reach 台中in 35mins at bout 8.27am..... super fast..... we took 小黄 to our hotel and reached there are bout 9am...... but we can't check-in untill 3pm..... we decided to go Carrefour for a walk.... Had our first cup of coffee in taichung.... slack and discussed our itinerary for the next few day......
went Tiger City for our lunch.... though the shopping mall looks big, but there aren't many shops there.... very few ppl oso.... mayb cuz it's not a PH in Taiwan during X'mas...... we shopped awhile and make our way back to hotel at bout 1+.... we still can't check-in.... we sat in the hotel lobby and wait...... guess wat, we dozed off..... think the hotel staff saw us "sleeping" at their lobby, they let us check-in at 2.30pm.....
after checking-in, we rest for a while in our 2bedroom+1living room room, we make our way out to 一中街 to shop...... bought our all time favourite 珍奶 from 50岚。alot of ppl there.... we shopped for a while and decided to go to our next stop.... 逢甲夜市。bought 大肠包小肠，地瓜球，胡椒饼，起士猪排 etc for our dinner...... ate till super full......
bathe and after tat rest for the day......
== 26th December 2008, Friday ==
woke up, wash up and prepare to checkout our room..... informed hotel to help us arrange for 小黄 to send us to HSR station..... before we 出发 to 高雄, we went out to buy 太阳饼. there are so many shops in the same street selling the same thing..... we dun noe which is the authentic shop selling 太阳饼。in the end, we anyhow choose 1, i bought 2 small boxes and we went back to hotel for our transport.....
reached HSR station, went to collect our pre-booked tix..... as there's still time before our departure to 高雄, we went Starbucks for coffee again......
reached 高雄in 1hr time....
our hotel transport is already there waiting for us when we reached the 左营station. checked-in and collected our tix to the Hello Kitty Ferris Wheel at Dream Mall and oso the $$ for the boat ride at 爱河。
after resting for awhile, we went to Stage, 小猪's shop at 仁智街。took some pics outside and went in to take a look. after tat, went 新崛江，高雄's 西门町to shop for awhile.... after which, we went to 六合夜市for dinner...... we shared 土司盒子set meal there and 打包food like 铜锣烧，爱玉冰，红豆豆花 and 薏仁豆花 back to hotel..... we bought some 泡面 back as dinner.
== 27th December 2008, Saturday ==
we woke up late today..... while slacking, we saw ads on tv saying tat 王力宏 will be having 签唱会 at Dream Mall...... we quickly wash up and set off to Dream Mall..... as the 签唱会 will only start at 7pm, we went to shop around first...... around evening time, we went to take the Ferris Wheel before we went to q for 王力宏's 签唱会...... after the 签唱会, we continue to shop..... went to a super big Daiso at Dream Mall.......
after shopping, we went 六合夜市 again...... bought super lots of food back.....
== 28th December 2008, Sunday ==
took the hotel transport to HSR station for our trip to 台北。it took us 1hr 36mins to reach 台北 from 高雄。Compared to taking 台铁 tat requires almost 4hrs, this is super duper fast......
we had 高铁便当 for our lunch..... not bery ex, NT120 and it's super nice.... Menu for the day, 麻油鸡 and sweet and sour pork........
1hr 36mins later we reach 台北车站 where our hotel is just located nearby. After finding our way to hotel, check-in, nua for awhile, we went 西门町。飞轮海 happens to be having 签唱会there. alot of teenagers there q-ing for their autograph..... we took some pic of them and proceed to our next stop, 淡水。
it's rather cloudy at 淡水tat day.... we went Starbucks again for a breather before we start our shopping spree and 淡水老街。we had fried durian where the taste is nt at all strong, cheese pork cutlet while we shop....... Went Naraya, bought a bag from there..... cost me NT1000.... heartpain......
before going back to hotel, we bought Mac for dinner..... they have some difference in their menu.... Collected 小猪's new album tat i've pre-order from Gmusic from the Family Mart opp our hotel......
Bought some CDs from 光南 tat is oso nearby our hotel......
== 29th December 2008, Monday ==
It started raining in 台北。
went 九份。it's super cold tat day cuz of the rain..... we went to have 芋圆汤 to warm ourselves first before we start shopping...... bought some snacks and mochi from 阿信的店 and oso 蒟蒻 from 九份黄妈妈。after walking awhile, we went to have 贡丸汤。the 贡丸 was super big..... first time seeing such big 贡丸。
went 基隆 on a speeding 小黄。the driver was driving at a speed of 120km/hr on a rainy day!!!!!!! 吓到~~~~~~~
we finally reached 基隆庙口夜市 safely....... but it's still raining..... the rain have totally spoil our mood for anything and it's super difficult to buy anything carrying an umbrella..... we decided to detour back to hotel...... found our way to the railway station by asking the locals there..... faster buy tix and rush for our train as it's departing soon......
a super slow journey back to 台北。our decision is right to change to 高铁 from 台中 to 高雄。
after reaching 台北车站, we went back hotel to put our purchases.... we went to have 锅贴 and 云吞 at a shop nearby our hotel...... had 酸辣汤which is neither 酸 nor 辣。went back 西门町again...... went Cosmed to buy mask and oso a shop selling idol stuffs......
mdm wong bought her favourite 鸡排 from a shop behind 西门红楼。we went 50岚 again to buy 珍奶。YF and I went to buy 阿宗面线 for dinner. bought somemore CD and went to Naraya (near our hotel) again to buy a bag for mummy.
== 30th December 2008, Tuesday ==
it's still raining and it doesn't have any sign tat it's going to stop....... had lunch at the cafe next to our hotel while checking for the rates to send things back home.... walk around hotel area and bought something from Watson's in order for us to get boxes frm them..... managed to get 2 boxes from Watson's and we started packing.......
we finally decided to send back using UPS, BUT!!!!! we have to use their boxes....... we went to the Family Mart opps our hotel to get the boxes but it's not available there...... went to buy dinner at Yoshinoya wif Mdm Wong first before we all go out to more Family Marts to get the boxes.....
we went to the Family Marts at 西门町hoping tat we can get the boxes..... we split into 2 grps to search for the boxes...... YF and Mdm Wong managed to get a 10kg box but Cheryl and myself came back empty handed......
back to Main Station, we decided to try our luck at the Family Mart at our area regardless the 1 opp our hotel told us tat all outlets in the area have run out of the boxes...... guess wat, we managed 3 10kg boxes and 2 5kg boxes....... we shld not have listen to them......... 泡面-ed tat night and continue packing.......
== 31st December 2008, Wednesday ==
woke up at bout 10+ to send our boxes to the Family Mart opp us for UPS's collection...... after which, went back to prepare ourselves for the BIG DAY!!!!! 跨年!!!!!!
As YF and Cheryl will be going 台中for their countdown, we went Main Station to have our lunch before we go separate ways......
Mdm Wong and me stupid stupid go and take the wrong direction and we end up at 西门町。we decided to 将错就错, go 西门町 shop for awhile before we go 市政府站 for the countdown. bought 2 pairs of earrings at 西门町。
终于, we are at City Hall...... we went New York New York and 华纳威秀 shop shop..... we settle dwn at Irish Potato to eat something before we went to "折磨" ourselves.....
we reached the countdown venue at 3.30pm..... cold cold wor..... only 12°C tat day.... raining somemore....... we chose a nice nice spot and stand there till the concert starts......
the longwaited countdown concert finally starts at 7pm..... though super lots of ppl, but we enjoyed ourselves...... the performances by the artiste are superb esp 阿妹。her 舞台魅力 really 没话说。全场high翻了天。
== 01st January 2009, Thursday ==
10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1
HAPPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!
my first countdown party at 台北。the fireworks at 台北101 was fabulous....... after 一连串的talking but the host, artiste saying their New Year wishes, it's time for 五月天 to perform....... their performance was really great......... 怪兽好帅哦!!!!!!! 阿信也不赖拉。hahahahahahaha
the whole party ended at bout 1am....... our's ended le.... but YF and Cheryl's have juz started.... they are q-ing for 小猪's autograph session at 台中。while they r q-ing, Mdm Wong and i are on our way back to hotel........
市政府站was really packed........ so we decided to walk to another station..... without knowing which direction we are heading, we juz follow the crowd...... after some walking, we found ourselves at 永春战。less crowded there.......
we are back at Main Station at bout almost 2am i guess....... went Family Mart to buy 泡面。yes.... 泡面again........ once reached room, the first thing tat we do is to chiong toilet...... hahahahahahaha...... wash up, eat, nua, slept at 4+am........
bout 7.55am...... Cheryl and YF came back frm 台中。can see tat they are super tired....... well, me too lah...... think Cheryl asked me some ques...... but can't really wat is it le....... hahahahahaha
woke up at 1+pm...... went buy late lunch wif Jolyn...... we dun noe wat to buy, so we end up buying Mac again...... helped YF and Cheryl buy as well.......
we din go very far tat night.... we juz walk around hotel area...... had KFC and some other food we bought frm nearby...... i had 泡面again...... but this time round is 冬粉。
== 02nd January 2009, Friday ==
Went Mr. J at 光復南路。had our lunch there...... apparently the food taste nicer den the 1 at 北医店。easier to find oso.....
after lunch, we walk to 台北101...... bought a Coach HP strap and help aunt bought her Polo de Polo Tee. went New York New York again.... went Daiso to buy bubble bag for our CDs. we visited 诚品to buy books.......
we went back hotel to rest first before we go 士林夜市。damn lots of ppl there loh...... wan walk oso difficult....... we went by another way to get into the 夜市。bought food - as usual....... 打包back to eat...... bought 大饼包小饼，超大香肠，鸡排，鲁肉饭，花枝羹，生煎包，起士马铃薯，爱玉冰。
== 03rd January 2009, Saturday ==
went 西门町's 蛋蛋屋 to have lunch...... their 蛋包饭is different frm the last time i had in Apr 08.
we planned to go for 飞轮海's autograph session on tat day..... after lunch, went over to 红楼to q for their autograph..... as they have already start giving out q-numbers at 8am and all 1000 q-numbers have been given out, we are being directed to 1 more of the 红楼 to q......
we are among the very first few of the q without q-number...... we tot we shld b able to get our albums autographed very fast and we can continue with our other plans...... 2hrs+ have gone....... there doesn't seems to be any progress.... YF and I went to front to check on the progress...... they have only signed bout 140 ppl....... 140..... can u imagine?????? 2hrs+ only sign 140......... they r damn slow....... and r playing on stage loh...... totally din think of their fans waiting for their autographed..... although it's not very cold on tat day, but the temp are gradually dropping as it got later......
小猪can sign > 1000 in 4+hrs including taking pic with fans for > 3 albums or taking pic and 抱抱for fans with > 5 albums......
we decided not to q anymore..... who knows if we carry on with the q, will we b able to get our albums autographed...... they can always dun sign for us as we does not have a q number.....
after we gave up on the q, we went to have dessert at 于记杏仁豆腐..... super nice wor....... the almond smell is not very strong....... bought some snacks from there and headed back to hotel.....
went to 师大夜市。bought food as usual lah..... Mdm Wong bought 七里香，but i dare not try.... haha..... bought 甜不辣，炸花枝，盐酥鸡，烤杏鲍菇，马来饭，咖哩饭，花枝羹，炸鸡排from Mdm Wong's favourite stall and 50岚's 珍奶, from hotel nearby.
as usual, eat until very full.....
== 04th January 2009, Sunday ==
last day in 台湾，we woke up early and went dwnstairs for breakfast....... first breakfast frm hotel after so many days in 台湾。
after breakfast, checked-out and left our luggage at the lobby...... while on our way to 西门町for 小猪's 签唱会, 我的亿万面包got活动at the 新光三越near our hotel..... but hv nt start yet lah.....
slot of ppl at 小猪's autograph session..... we stayed throughout his performance but we can't stay for his autograph session cuz we have to rush back hotel for our transport to airport..... before we left 西门町,we did our last shopping there..... bought 2 bags, 1 more myself, 1 for siao cha bo.....
feeling kind of dwn while we are on our way to airport...... none of us talk most of the time........ dun noe is it tired or wat......
upon reaching the airport, YF and I went to check wif the couter if we are able to board the aircraft..... we are asked to joined the q for check-in as there shldn't b any prob for us to board.... we went to sit dwn for awhile cuz the q is rather long..... not long after tat, we decided to join the q as the q seems to be getting longer....... YF and I 顺利got our boarding pass. we took the Skytrain to T1 to buy things......
Flight back to Singapore and this conclude our 11 Days 10 Nights Taiwan New Year Countdown Trip.
Looking forward to our this Year End Japan Trp..... =)

On leave after the trip...... went hospital to visit grandpa...... he was admitted when i'm at TW......
still in the mood of 签唱会，met up with YF and Mdm Wong at Central Mall for 五月天's 签名会。went to have lunch at Yoshinoya before going to q..... bought their album there so tat i can have the pass to sign first..... 冠佑is absent......
we din q very long to get their autograph...... 好帅!!!!
can't wait to see them during their concert on 29th August 2009..... concert tix pre-ordered..... thx Din.......
